Remedy
The 2G/3G network was deactivated in 2022 within the (North American Region) NAR, therefore a solution has been developed to allow
connectivity to the 4G network, connectivity is achieved by fitting additional parts and utilising existing components as detailed within the Work
section
The procedure within the Work section has been developed to allow connectivity to the 4G network
19 M/Y (NAR) Bentayga vehicles were not specified with an Emergency call module and communication unit, therefore the following rework is
required:
•
Gateway control module must be replaced
•
Emergency call module and communication unit must be installed
•
R268 Antenna must be installed
•
Link loom to be installed to connect the Gateway and the Emergency call module and communication unit (The link harness also connects
to the R268 Antenna)
•
Once all of the required parts have been installed a software update is required to enable connectivity to the 4G network
VERY IMPORTANT: Once the replacement parts have been fitted (Gateway and the Emergency call module and
communication unit) Do Not under any circumstances conduct any ODIS replace tests until instructed via a new or existing
DISS query
VERY IMPORTANT: Before conducting the onward procedure the operative MUST ensure the instructions within the attached
