This is to revise and replace ATC 2685-B, dated 03-Oct-2023. This revision is to:

1. Update the Travel note.

If additional information is required, please contact your Cummins Warranty Operations
Group Leader.

Description

This ATC is being issued to address potential fuel shutoff valve failures on certain ISX12N CM2380
X120B engines. This document authorizes Cummins certified locations to replace fuel shutoff valve
part number 5537854 or 5467826 with an improved fuel shutoff valve.

Note : This document authorizes proactive repairs. All failures will need to be filed to the
appropriate coverage.

Action
In order to qualify for repair under this field action, an engine:

1. will be covered Regardless of coverage status, and
2. must show as OPEN on QuickServe® Online for this field action.

Note : The ESN list is attached for reference.

After verifying that the engine meets the above requirements, perform the following actions:

1. Remove and Install the fuel shutoff valve. Please refer procedure 019-050 Fuel Shutoff Valve
in the appropriate Service Manual.

Material Disposition

Where applicable, materials removed as a result of this field action must be returned to Cummins.
Parts flagged via the Cummins Enhanced Parts Return (EPR) process should be returned
following the instructions as outlined in Memo# 1938 for US/Canada Distributors and Memo# 1939
for US/Canada Dealers. For all locations, please return the parts to:

Note : Please schedule the Technician's time to maximize the number of units that can
be repaired on a single visit. It is recommended, but not required, that a minimum of 10
units be dispositioned in a single service event. When filing claims for multiple ESNs,
where travel is required, travel can be filed to ONLY one (1) ESN.
