Luggage Compartment Sealing and Drainage
This instruction refers to other documents that are necessary to do the procedure.

Situation
This procedure is applicable when the customer raises a complaint about
• When the vehicle has been washed or exposed to the rain, there is a water leakage into the
luggage compartment.

Action
• Follow the procedure for the solution of the water leakage into the luggage compartment.

Prepare
1. Open the front hood with the key fob or from the center console.
2. Disconnect the 12 V system, refer to WOM-00007.
3. Disconnect the HV system, refer to WOM-00021.

Seal the hood carcass
1. Clean the area around the inner closing panel for the front hood.
2. Apply the MSP seam on the gap between the inner closing panel for front hood and front
hood inner.
Consumable: 130-114-1022

3. Let the MSP cure, refer to the Manufacturer's technical data sheet.

Install the new screws to the cockpit dust cover
1. Remove 4× T20 screws from the cover for cockpit dust filter.
2. Install new 4× T20 screws to the cover for cockpit dust filter.
Part: 130-198-3412
Torque: 2.9 Nm

Install the new RH drainage plug
1. Remove the drainage plug from the drainage pipe.

Note
Make sure that you do not cause damage the drainage pipe.

2. Clean the remaining glue from the drainage pipe.
3. Apply the MSP around the new drainage plug.

4. Install the new drainage plug to the drainage pipe.

Drill the restrictor on LH drainage plug

1. Do a check of the LH drainage plug.
1.1 If the restrictor is not installed on the drainage plug, continue with the

1.2 If the restrictor is installed on the drainage plug, use a pry tool or something similar
to remove the restrictor.

2. Attach a 10 mm drill bit to the hand-drill machine.
3. Drill a hole into the restricter to make it large.

4. Install the restricter to the LH drainage pipe.

Install the spacer to the luggage plate
1. Install the distance check tool to the LH drainage hole of the luggage plate.

2. Check if there is a gap between the distance check tool and the luggage plate.
2.1 If there is no gap between the distance check tool and the luggage plate, remove
the tool and attach drainage hoses to the luggage plate.
2.2 If there is a gap between the distance check tool and the luggage plate, continue
with the next steps.
3. Remove the luggage plate, refer to WOM-00047.
4. Put the luggage plate upside down on the work table.
5. Clean the area around the base where the luggage plate is placed on the front subframe.

6. Sand the area on the luggage plate.
7. Apply the loctite to the new spacers.

8. Install the spacers to the prepared area on the luggage plate.
9. Install the luggage plate, refer to WOM-00047.
