Actionable:
Any vehicle, component or software related issues
must be performed according to the service bulletin
procedure.

This bulletin informs dealers of a possible contact between the
Engine Temperature (ET) sensor connector and a coolant hose
resulting from a mid-year change. The affected build date range
is January 25, 2023 through September 25, 2023. If contact is
discovered, the ET sensor should be relocated using the
procedure outlined in this bulletin.

Remove seat. See service manual.

Remove main fuse. See service manual.

3.

Remove two front fuel tank screws. See service manual.

Install block of wood between fuel tank and backbone
of frame.

See Figure 1. Remove front and rear push pins (1).

Remove caddy from back bone.

Disconnect all left side connectors under fuel tank to allow
movement of caddy. See Electrical Diagnostic Manual
(EDM).

Remove ET connector (2) from caddy.

Pull cable strap through caddy so the head is as close to
the caddy as possible. Once connector is in place, the
cable strap will not be able to move.

10. See Figure 2. Install and route cable strap (2) in the caddy's
(1) alternate mounting point location.
11. See Figure 3. Install ET connector (2) to alternate caddy
mounting point.

Make sure connector is fully seated.

b.

Cable strap should be between connector and caddy
mounting point, not behind it. This prevents the
connector from being fully seated to the caddy.

12. Tighten cable strap and cut off remaining strap.
13. Install components and connect connectors. See service
manual.

Connect all left side connectors that were previously
disconnected. See step 8.

See Figure 3. Position caddy and install push pins
(1).

Lower fuel tank.

Install front fuel tank screws and tighten. See service
manual.

Tighten rear fuel tank screws. See service manual.

Credit Procedure
NOTE
If damage is found to the coolant hose due to contact with
the ET sensor, add all necessary parts and labor to the same
event. Reference service and job/time code manuals for
appropriate parts and labor.
