Symptom/Vehicle Issue: Central ADAS Decision Module (CADM), Advanced Driver Assist
System (ADAS), Lane Assist Inoperative, Service Active Lane Management Message

Customer Complaint/Technician Observation: Owner complains of a cluster message
“Service Active Lane Management” along with the following conditions Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane
Departure, Driver Assist, Lane Keeping System Inoperative, Forward Collision Light On/ Intermittently,
and/or Long-Range Front Camera Fails to Calibrate.

Technicians may observe one or more of the following Diagnostic Trouble
Codes:
C2318-49-FRONT CAMERA - INTERNAL ELECTRONIC FAILURE
P0602-00-CONTROL MODULE PROGRAMMING ERROR/NOT PROGRAMMED

Discussion:
Some recently replaced and returned Long Range Front Cameras (LRCFs) and CADM(s) were tested
and have been found to have no internal failures. Upon further inspection the technician may not find
any obvious signs of damage to the wiring or connectors after some recent vehicle repairs. However,
some critical inspection points of the LVDS/Coax Cable after all repairs to interior trim or the
windshield can be helpful to root cause the signal disruption misleading to replacement of the LRCF
or CADM before identifying issues with the LVDS/Coax Cable.

1. Mirror Harness Connection looped over to tightly causing tension.
2. Mirror Harness Front Camera Connector Rotated 90 Degrees which may partially spread
the terminals(check pin fit as needed).
3. Pinch or Chaffing of the Mirror Harness by the Interior Trim clips.

Repair Procedure:
Take a Vehicle Scan Report (VSR) of C2318-49 - Front Camera - Internal Electronic Failure and
check the Internal Decode Byte(s) 1,2 and 3 as shown in the example(s) below.
One (1) FWC_CAMPWR_LDO_Fail:
Start your diagnosis with replacement of the mirror harness for any suspect damage (Figure 1).

Two (2) FWC_ImagerFuseID_Mismatch_Fault:
Start your diagnosis with attempting to recalibrate the Long-Range Camera Front (LRCF). If the
camera calibration cannot be completed, replace the LRCF.

Using the scan tool, perform the Long Range Camera Front (LRCF) calibration. The routine is
called the “Forward Facing Camera Dynamic Service Alignment/Calibration”. (Refer to 08 Electrical/Programming and Calibration/Programming and Calibration) .

Perform a full key off BUS sleep cycle for a minimum of 8 minutes, following the diagnostics as
published in Service Library to complete the calibration. (Refer to 28 - DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE,
Central ADAS Decision (CADM) /Standard Procedure).
