Charging Blazer EV begins with a gentle press of the
charge port door, which automatically opens to reveal a
welcoming halo of light around the charge ports. This
will ensure seamless use during low- light charging
scenarios. If the customer does not close the door
when charging is complete, it will automatically close
itself when the vehicle is placed in gear.

Blazer EV will offer a dual-pane power panoramic
sunroof that gives the vehicle an open-air feel. A panel
stretches the length of the front and back row, so
everyone has a view of the sky above. However, only
the front panel retracts or vents. The rear is a fixed
glass panel. A powered sunshade easily opens or
closes, when needed, to help block light and keep the
cabin cool.

Blazer EV is built from the ground up on GM’s
proprietary Ultium Platform. The all-new electric vehicle
architecture offers a combination of batteries and
motors that are interchangeable, along with different
drive configurations that give customers the type of
drive experience and range that’s right for their needs.
The vehicle’s battery and body were designed at the
same time. This allowed the space to accommodate a
battery that can go long range and enabled a structure
that can protect it and occupants while also offering a
stable foundation for great ride and handling.
Blazer EV’s Ultium battery modules are horizontally
configured along the vehicle underbody, forming a
central element of the vehicle structure. The battery
pack underbody allows for nearly 50/50 weight
distribution of the vehicle and a lower center of gravity,
which together allow for precise handling and a
sensation of hugging the road.
Because Blazer EV was built from the ground up using
the Ultium Platform, its battery pack was designed as
an integral part of the vehicle structure to create a safer,
higher-performing vehicle.
The horizontal arrangement of the modules within the
pack facilitates Blazer EV’s low-slung, aggressive SUV
profile and sporty performance attributes. It also allows
for a flatter cabin floor, which adds to usable interior
space for customers.
The battery system also features Ultium energy
recovery, an innovative heat cycling system that uses
thermal energy from the vehicle’s battery to heat the
vehicle interior, increasing efficiency.

WOW (Wide Open Watts)
On the SS trim, Blazer EV will feature the ability for
drivers to unleash the full power of its Ultium Drive
system with WOW (Wide Open Watts) mode. When
engaged, Blazer EV SS will offer up to 557 horsepower
and up to 648 lb.-ft. of torque, with an estimated

• A standard Dual Level Charge Cord lets owners
use a standard 3-prong power outlet for Level 1
(120 volts) charging or a 4-prong power outlet for
faster Level 2 (240 volts) charging. This offers
them flexibility, depending on the charging
capabilities of their location
• Blazer EV also offers standard high-speed DC
(direct current) fast charging capability that lets
drivers add up to a GM-estimated 74 miles (119
km) of range in just 10 minutes when charging at a
public station
• Customers benefit from Ultium Energy Recovey.
Blazer EV’s innovative heat pump thermal system,
which maximizes every watt possible to boost
cold-weather range and supply warm air to the
cabin within a minute of them starting their
charged vehicle in normal conditions
• The Blazer EV charging process is an easy,
intuitive experience, with innovations like a
powered-opening charge port door and energymonitoring technologies that put customers in
control of their vehicle’s energy
Charging Blazer EV will be an easy experience for
customers, with three levels of charging available to
them. The first, Level 1 at home, uses a standard
120-volt outlet. Blazer EV will also be capable of Level
2 AC charging up to 11.5 kW, as well as high-powered,
public DC fast charging, which is the quickest way for
drivers to charge when on the go.

hands-free start system, the Blazer EV enhances
the everyday drive and makes it comfortable for
both those behind the wheel and passengers
• The Blazer EV is an excellent road companion,
especially when customers need to bring a lot
along for the ride. Smart storage solutions are
incorporated throughout the vehicle and an
available presence-based power liftgate makes
loading and unloading cargo more convenient
• The suite of climate control features will be familiar
to customers but offers enhancements, including
Ultium energy recovery, that give them added
comfort capabilities
• The Blazer EV cabin has been crafted for
quietness, with acoustic materials incorporated
throughout to help shield customers from
unwanted or unfamiliar sounds
In colder temperatures, Blazer EV can help customers
combat frozen fingertips that can come from clearing
ice and snow that collects on wipers. A heated wiper
park is designed to conveniently melt accumulated ice
and snow at the bottom of the windshield — an area
traditionally not warmed by climate vents. Available on
RS models, the feature helps prevent wiper blades from
freezing to the windshield and eliminates the need for
customers to clear them.
For convenience, the Blazer EV tailgate can open
hands-free when the key fob is recognized by sensors
at the rear of the vehicle. The feature is designed with
inclusivity at the center, as any person — regardless of
ability level — no longer needs to kick to access their
liftgate hands-free.
The Blazer EV drive units are conveniently controlled
using a column-mounted version of the Electronic
Precision Shift system. It shifts gears electronically
rather than using a traditional shifter with a mechanical
connection. The vehicle must be on to use this feature.
Available wireless phone charging will let customers
charge their smartphones on the go, without connecting
any cables. There’s no clutter or cords. The wireless
charging pad in Blazer EV will be in front of the center
console storage. The Ultium Platform’s energy recovery
system provides cooling for the charging mat, helping
to optimize the charge rate.
It is important for drivers to keep their eyes on the road,
and an available Head-Up Display (HUD) helps them
do just that. It projects important vehicle information
directly onto the windshield, telling drivers what they
need to know quickly and efficiently. Display messages
include speed, audio, phone, navigation and driver
assistance features. HUD is standard on RS and SS
models.
