Status of Defective Parts

PLEASE FORWARD THIS INFORMATION TO YOUR PARTS AND SERVICE PERSONNEL
Any parts removed for repairs that will be submitted to Winnebago for reimbursement, must not be discarded.
They will fall into one of two categories:
1) Return parts
2) Held for scrapping
All defective parts replaced under the terms of the warranty (including transportation damage) which are not
coded return, must be retained in your dealership. DO NOT SCRAP ANY PARTS THAT YOU EXPECT TO BE
REIMBURSED.
Parts that are required to be held and made available to your Service District Manager for inspection are listed
on your monthly warranty credit statements. These parts must be retained in the dealership for a period of 90
days from the date of the warranty credit statement. These parts should be identified with the repair order and
customer name for easy reference. If parts have not been inspected by your Service District Manager in the
90-day period, they may be scrapped by dealership personnel.
The Winnebago Warranty Department may ask you to take digital pictures clearly showing the defect along
with the Winnebago serial number of the unit and the work order number that the repair was submitted on.
In the T.I.C. Manual, you will find Parts Policy that lists each component that photos are either required or
requested for claims submitted. These photos are needed by Winnebago for vendor recovery.
Any parts replaced by Canadian dealers need to have photos to accompany the claim for reimbursement.
Please read and follow these instructions carefully for returning defective parts.
1. Click on Warranty Part Returns found under the Warranty tab on the WinPortal Service page:

2. A screen as shown below will appear. To create your packing slip, click on the box next to the claim. A
check mark will appear. Select all parts that will be in the box. NOTE: A packing slip must be with each
box.

3. Click on “Print List”. To ensure proper printing, go to the Toolbar and select File, Page setup. Select
“Landscape” and “Shrink-to-fit” as shown. Print the packing slip.

4. To create part return labels, use a sheet of 2” x 4” labels, ten per sheet; Avery label #5163. Click on “Print
Labels”. Ensure your printer is set for portrait printing. Print your labels.

5. Attach the label to a part return tag. Do NOT attach the label directly onto the part or box.

A part return tag MUST be attached to EACH part.
The label MUST be affixed to the part return tag.
Place packing slip inside box.
Parts should be packaged appropriately to prevent any damage in shipping. It is very important to
drain fluids from the parts.
Pay particular attention to parts that contain hydraulic fluid. Drain the fluid and cap off fittings and
lines. Hydraulic parts MUST be boxed and returned separately to prevent damage to other parts.

6. Affix a “Warranty Return Goods” sticker to the OUTSIDE of the box.
To obtain the Orange Warranty Return Goods
sticker order part number 701677-C5-000.

7. Return the parts prepaid to:

Keep a copy of the packing slip, recording the tracking # for your records.

Any parts shipments received that are not properly identified or not properly packaged as explained
above will be returned to your dealership C.O.D.
