Purpose for Parts and Accessories Bulletin
This bulletin informs dealers that Harley-Davidson has made changes to the Quart, Gallon, Liter, 4-Liter and Pint bottles with a
new design and display labels.
Along with the new quart/liter bottle design, the shipping corrugate used for lubricant products have also been updated.
The changes refresh the Brand presence and update both the Genuine Harley-Davidson and Screamin' Eagle products with a
premium look. The transition will start in July 2023 and be ongoing through the end of the year. There may be short term availability
issues as production of old products quickly transition into new products.
The new quart bottle design is unique and proprietary to Harley-Davidson which incorporates the look of cylinder head fins. Oil
products are displayed in:
• Orange bottle: Conventional engine oil products
• Silver bottle: Synthetic engine oil products
• Black bottle: Gear oil or Fork oil products
Each oil family has an individual label style varying from black, gray or the attention-grabbing Screamin' Eagle King of the Baggers
image with 3D effect. The label designs also feature a new set of icons representing the lubricant application, making it easier
to understand where to use the product:
• Piston Icon: Engine use
• Gears Icon: Transmission use
• Chaincase Icon: Chaincase use
• 3-in-1 Oval Icon (three icons within the oval): Revolution® Max use
• + Icon: For additional application use
Reference pictures in the bulletin for new bottle design and front label with icons. See Figure 1 through Figure 6.
The new Gallon/4-liter case quantity will change from (3 per pack) to (4 per pack) and will require a new part number. No other
part numbers will change due to the packaging update. Quart/liter cases of motorcycle oil remain at (12 per pack). Fork oil cases
remain at (6 per pack) or (12 per pack).
As this product arrives at your dealership, we recommend:
• Sell and use all old packaging first

• Re-stock new packaging in place of old
• Shift old packaging to service department operations.
This will use up the old packaging as quickly as possible and create a more visually appealing presentation. New product packaging
will transition by product varied timing. This may result in a mix of old and new packaging across product on the shelf during the
transition. Try to maintain only one packaging style, per product on the shelf.
