#D5, Dated 3-29-19.
Attention: Parts Manager / Parts Specialist
Supplying replacement locks coded to the original key code requires unique ordering procedures. In our Parts catalogs, locks
are sold two ways: one is without stipulated lock number, the other is with stipulated lock number. The latter is a custom made
lock, specially ordered from the manufacturer. The procedures are as follows:
• Orders must be placed via Polaris
using Key/Lock order type.
• At the time of order placement, you will need to supply key code or VIN (except 911 prior to 1970 and all 914 models, key
code only), part number and quantity.
• Stipulated locks for pre-1981 vehicles (Vehicles without the 17 digit VIN) can be ordered by emailing
PartsSupportAdmin@Porsche.us. Be sure to include ZNLK in the subject line.
These specially procured locks have a lead time of 6-8 weeks, and this should be clearly stated to your customer before
accept-ing an order. Once a lock order has been placed, the order cannot be canceled and the lock is non-returnable. VOR
orders will not be accepted.
For your convenience, on the inside of this bulletin, we have provided a quick reference chart for locks with stipulated codes.
