POWER SEAT SWITCH (FRONT LH) REPLACEMENT AND WIRING
REVISION (SERVICE CAMPAIGN TAM)

 IMPORTANT
Dealers must perform this service campaign on all affected vehicles prior to customer retail delivery
and whenever an affected vehicle is in the shop for any maintenance or repair.
Access the “Vehicle Information” screen via WEBDCS to identify open campaigns.

Description: Some 2022MY Ioniq 5 (NE1) vehicles may experience an inoperative front left (driver)
power seat due to interference to the power seat switch wiring harness.
This bulletin provides the service procedure to replace the front LH power seat switch and revise the
wiring for the connector.

Applicable Vehicles (Certain):
• 2022MY Ioniq 5 (NE1) vehicles produced on 10/4/2021.

NOTICE
This service campaign can only be performed at Ioniq certified Hyundai dealers.

still under warranty, submit a separate claim using the same repair order. If the affected part is out of
warranty, submit a Prior Approval request for goodwill consideration prior to performing the work.
NOTE 3: This TSB includes Repair validation photos. Op times include VIN, Mileage and Repair
validation photos as outlined in the Digital Documentation Policy.
NOTE 4: The incident parts are subject to callback through the normal Warranty Technical Center (WTC)
parts return process. Claim is subject to debit if the part is not returned.

Front LH Power Seat Switch Replacement and Wiring Rework
1.

Record radio presets and move front left seat
up and forward prior to starting procedure.
Disconnect the battery negative (–) terminal.

Separate the front seat lower protector (A).

NOTICE
Use a trim removal tool when removing
components to prevent damage.
Take care not to damage the front seat.

Loosen the front seat shield outer cover
mounting screw (B).

Remove the front seat shield outer cover fixing
hooks (C).

Take care not to damage the hook and
bracket.

Remove the front seat shield outer cover by
pressing the lock key (D) and pulling it in the
direction of the arrow.

Disconnect the front seat power switch
connector (E).

Loosen the 5 mounting screws (F) and
remove the front seat power switch (G).

Install the supplied front seat power switch (H)
onto the front seat shield outer cover.

Using STUI, take a photo of the new
power switch with the last 6 digits of
the VIN and the date of repair on a
piece of paper.
Upload the photo to STUI.

9.

Remove the insulating tape (I) wound around
the front power seat connector wiring.

Wind electrical tape onto the front-facing
yellow (J) and orange (K) wires of the front
power seat connector.

Wind electrical tape a minimum of 3
times.

Using STUI, take a photo showing the
front 2 wires (J and K) taped with
electrical tape with the last 6 digits of
the VIN and the date of repair on a
piece of paper.
Upload the photo to STUI.

Wind the front power seat connector wiring (L)
with insulating cloth tape.

Using STUI, take a photo of the taped
front power seat connector wiring with
the last 6 digits of the VIN and the date
of repair on a piece of paper.
Upload the photo to STUI.

12.

Install the front seat shield outer cover (M) in
the reverse order of removal.
Reconnect the battery negative (–) terminal.
Check proper operation of the Power Switch
module and reprogram radio presets if
needed.
