“Right first time in Time”
One of the biggest challenges facing the automotive industry is the need for more technicians. At
Volvo, the growth of our car park, coupled with one of the longest tenured technician populations in
the industry, means we need a strong plan for recruiting and retaining technicians. At the same time, we
know the cost of tools is a barrier for new technicians entering the workforce. Most already have enough
student debt to make purchasing tools a significant obstacle.
That’s why we are continuing to offer the Volvo Technician Tool Program (VTTP). VTTP includes a
complete set of tools and VSS-approved cabinet. The cost of the kit is $5,358.07 and Volvo will pay
half, so your investment is only $2,679.03. Reducing or eliminating the cost of tools will provide Volvo
a competitive advantage, not only when recruiting new technicians, but also in retaining existing ones.
The Volvo Technician Tool Program is one easy way to help recruit the best technicians in the business.
We need to think differently, and continue to work together to make Volvo the “Brand of Choice” for
automotive technicians.

PROGRAM DETAILS
How to order
Complete the Volvo Technician Tool Program order form (see page 12) and email it to Frank Rossi at
[email protected]. Once the order is processed, you will receive tool shipments from Wurth
USA, and the tool cabinet from VCUSA. Allow three weeks for processing/shipment.
Terms and Conditions
Dealer Requirements
In order to receive the Volvo reimbursement, the following requirements need to be met:
• VIDA Wi-Fi installed or a signed proposal agreement has been submitted
• VIDA Wi-Wi is installed, running and utilized daily.
• VIDA Network Storage Device (NAS) is properly set up
• VRE workshop standards are met
• Documented mentoring program is in place
• Technician technical training requirements are on track/met
• Special tools are organized and maintained
• Retailer must be set up for direct billing with Volvo Car USA for the Wurth USA partnership
program (see page 13)
Note: Installation of the Volvo tool cabinet and organization of the tools are the responsibility of the
dealer. No substitutions or exceptions allowed.
Volvo Car USA
Upon receipt of the Volvo Technician Tool Program order form, the order will be processed. Validation
of the program will occur three months after shipment of the tools. Tools and cabinet will be received in
separate shipments.
Validation
• Technical Training department will validate technician status
• Installation is required within 30 days of receiving the tools and cabinet
• AMM/FTS will confirm installation of tool cabinet and proper storage
• Customer Service department will validate NAS and VIDA Wi-Fi
• Network department will validate VRE workshop requirements
After completion of the validation, the dealer’s part statement will be credited one-half the cost of the

Disclaimer
Volvo reserves the right to terminate the program at any time. Volvo reserves the right to charge back the
participating dealer for any violation of the terms and conditions of the program. This includes the resale
of the tools, improper use of the tools and or if the tools are not utilized in a manner consistent with
program guidelines. All tools and cabinet are non-returnable.
