Whats New Abstract
Certain T680 NextGen chassis have a CAN terminating resistor that may become loose and rub on the cooling

module, causing fin damage and possible cooling module leaks. Procedures are available to reroute and
secure the resistor and harness.

Condition

T680 NextGen chassis may have a loose or misrouted CAN terminating resistor and harness that could cause
cooling module damage.

Chassis Affected

4,631 (4,428 US and 203 Canada) Model Year 2023-2024 T680 Next Gen chassis.

Action

Campaign
Service all chassis affected that enter your dealership, even if the customer has no issue with the chassis.

1. Review the attached chassis list for your dealer code and schedule your customer(s) for service if their
chassis is on the list.

2. In Service Management, select Campaign 42061 to add it to the case. If the unit is released back into
service without performing the repair, make sure to also release the Campaign in Service Management.

3. If you are not using Service Management to start repair orders, review SIR for “Complete” or "In

4. Follow the procedures below to secure the CAN terminating resistor.

This bulletin does not cover damage to the cooling
module components.

If any damage requires repair or replacement, file a
separate claim for parts and labor.

For repairs completed by 10/01/2024, Kenworth will pay for parts at dealer net plus applicable mark-up and
labor:

© 0.3 hours to inspect and secure the CAN terminating resistor with cable ties and tape. Use Quick Claim
code 42061.

¢ File an additional claim for extraordinary circumstances. A quick claim for standard labor must be filed
