SB-66 2022 Cahaba Dragonfly Battery to Solar Panel Connections

Dear Tiffin Motorhome Owner,

It has come to our attention that certain 2022 Cahaba Motorhomes equipped with a Dragonfly charging system
may not have the connections for the house batteries wired correctly. If the connections are not correct, that
may result in the batteries not being able to charge.

Tiffin Motorhomes will have the wiring for the house batteries corrected so that the batteries will charge as.
designed.

Please arrange to take your motorhome to a reputable service center OR dealer of your choice to have the
correction completed. The repair will take approximately 1 hour and will be completed at no charge to you, the
owner. If you are using a service center that is not a Tiffin Motorhomes authorized repair facility, please make
sure that they contact Tiffin Motorhomes for the required instructions and time allowed for the repair. Tiffin
Motorhomes will not pay over the allowed time unless the repair facility receives prior authorization. For

This technical service bulletin will expire on September 30, 2024. Please make sure that this repair is completed
Brior to this date. Work completed after this date will be done at the customer's expense.

You may be liable for any progressive damage that results from your failure to complete the replacement within
a reasonable time after receiving notification.

to a reputable service center OR dealer of their choice to have this correction completed. Tiffin Motorhomes is.
allowing up to 1 hour for this recall repair to be completed.

This technical service bulletin will expire on September 30, 2024. Please make sure that this repair is completed
prior to this date. Work completed after this date will be done at the customer’s expense.

Work instructions are available for download from the dealer section of our website,

Technical Bulletin Repair Instructions
Models Involved: 2022 Cahaba equipped with WS500 Alternator Regulator

Tools Needed: Parts Needed:
Electric Drill / Impact Driver W/ Phillips Head Bit 3 AMP inline fuse
Wire Stripper/Cutter 20 - 10 AWG 16-14 AWG, Gel Filled, Butt Wire Connector

Crimping & Cutting Tool 22 -10 AWG
Flat head screwdriver

Digital Multimeter

9/16” Socket set

FLAT RATE CODE & TIME ALLOWED FOR REPAIR. When filing the warranty claim for payment, please use

AB9964SB00 for 1 hour. Note for parts: Part can be used from shop supplies and billed back as materials under
the flat rate code for the TSB

Repair Procedure:

1. Disconnect all power from the 30-amp shore cord.
2. Turn off the main disconnect located on the rear facing passenger side bed box. See Figure 2.

3. Turn the chassis engine off and remove the key from the ignition switch.
4. The main electrical system is in the passenger rear bed box and can be accessed by lifting the bed lid to
expose the main electrical components, figure 4.

Locate the 712 Shunt and the purple and gray wire connections, shown in Figure SA. The gray wire will need
to be applied to the negative terminal block, and the purple wire will need to be applied to the positive
terminal block. See Figure 8A & 8B for WS500 wiring diagram. Remove the red wire from the circuit which is
connected into pink butt splice and connect from positive terminal block to shunt band port.

Figure 6 shows the red wire currently on shunt being moved to the positive terminal block near shunt area
with an inline fuse, along with the purple wire. Each line will be connected separately to the terminal block.

Then a small jumper wire will be run from this terminal back over to the Victron shunt.

7. The gray wire from the WS500 will be extended and ran to the ground terminal block near the same area.

8. The removed red wire will need to be connected into the red positive buss bar to one of the ports on the
shunt band with a 3-amp inline fuse as shown in WS500 wiring diagram shown in Figure 8A below.
