This bulletin applies to vehicles built on or after September 01, 2022
(MDH 0901XX) and on or before May 10, 2023 (MDH 0510XX).

Customers may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. Upon further investigation
the technician may find that the one or more of the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) have
been set:
• B1749-11 - FLLU Turn Light Feedback Left.
• B1749-15 - FLLU Turn Light Feedback Left.
• B1749-96 - FLLU Turn Light Feedback Left.
• B1750-11 - FRLU Turn Light Feedback Right.
• B1750-15 - FRLU Turn Light Feedback Right.
• B1750-64 - FRLU Turn Light Feedback Right.
The customer may also comment on the following:
One or both headlamps or front turn signals, are inoperable.
NOTE: A message in the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) may also be displayed (Fig. 1) .

CAUSE:

Headlamp assembly malfunction.

This Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) has also been released as a Rapid Service Update (RSU)
23-158, date of issue June 03, 2023. All applicable RSU VINs have been loaded. To verify this RSU
service action is applicable to the vehicle, use VIP or perform a VIN search in DealerCONNECT/
Service Library. All repairs are reimbursable within the provisions of warranty. This RSU will expire 18
months after the date of issue.

SPARE PARTS:

DIAGNOSIS:
If a customer’s VIN is listed in VIP or your RSU VIN list, perform the repair. If any vehicle not on the VIN list
exhibits any of the symptom listed above in the customer symptom section, perform the Inspection
Procedure.
1. Are there any signs of water/moisture in either headlamp assembly?
• YES>>> Refer to all applicable published technical service bulletins for detailed repair
procedures and labor times regarding “Water Intrusion in the Headlamps”.
• NO>>> Proceed to Step 2.
2. Start the engine.
3. Cycle the hazard warning flashers button to the on position.
4. Cycle the headlamp switch to the low beam position.
NOTE: Only the front turn signals need to be checked. Do not check the rear turn signals.
5. Exit the vehicle and verify both front turn signals and headlamp low beams are operable.
6. Are both front turn signals and headlamp low beams operable?
• YES>>> Cycle the hazard warning flashers button to the off position. Proceed to Step 9.
• NO>>> Proceed to Step 7.
7. Check for the following headlamp DTCs that may have been set:

B1749-96 - FLLU Turn Light Feedback Left.

8. Were any headlamp DTCs found?
• YES>>> Proceed to Step 1 of the Repair Procedure.
• NO>>> Proceed to Step 9.
9. Cycle the headlamp switch to the high beam position.
10. Exit the vehicle and verify both front headlamp high beams are operable.
11. Are both front headlamp high beams operable?
• YES>>> This bulletin has been completed. Use inspection LOP (08-50-31-9R) to close the active
RSU.
• NO>>> Proceed to Step 1 of the Repair Procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
NOTE: Do not replace both headlamp assemblies if one has the symptom condition. Only replace
headlamp assemblies that are inoperable.
1. Replace the affected headlamp assembly as required. Refer to the detailed service procedures available
in DealerCONNECT/Service Library under: Service Info> 08 - Electrical / 8L - Lamps and Lighting /
Lamps/Lighting - Exterior / unit, Front Lamp / Removal and Installation.
2. Clear all DTCs that may have been set.
