M15X-M161 – ICS Software Update
DATE: JULY 19 2023
Certain Maserati Ghibli (M157), Levante (M161), and Quattroporte(M156) MY22 MY23 listed in MODISCS+
are involved in a Rapid Update concerning the Integrated Center Stack (ICS) software update.
The new software strategy solves the volume not operating by the rotary knob command and the A/C
control panel not working.
We remind you that all the Rapid Updates must be performed within the first workshop visit, regardless of
the Mandatory setting set in Modis, as required by Maserati policies.
Also, for vehicles in Stock Dealer / PDI, it is necessary to carry out all action operations before delivery to
the end customer, as required by the White Book and explicitly reported in the Pre-delivery checklist.

TECHNICAL SERVICE OPERATIONS
Procedure
1. Always check ModisCS+ to see if the vehicle is involved in this action and if it has not been
previously performed.
2. Before proceeding, please ensure that the Engine is OFF.
3. Connect the MD EVO to the VCI2 using the USB cable.
4. Connect the VCI2 to the vehicle.
5. Key ON Engine OFF (KOEO) check battery voltage and ensure it is 12V or above. Please use
a battery maintainer to maintain a stable power supply (e.g., E-XTEQ charger Tester)
6.
With the MD EVO select ICS ► ECU Programming and follow the prompts.
7.
Procedure complete.
