POSSIBLE CAUSE
The telematics control unit failed to properly complete the provisioning process. This causes the unit to stay active, and
drain the 12 volt battery.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Replace the telematics control unit.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
1. Enter Dealer Diagnostic mode. On the vehicle's audio unit select General Settings and then System. Finally, press
the Gear Icon and the blank space (next to B-Zone) for at least 3 seconds.

2. Select Detail Information & Setting.
3. Select Unit Check.
4. Select TSU.
•
If TSU information is displayed (the unit is good), continue with normal troubleshooting for parasitic draw.
•
If Not Connected is displayed, continue to the next step.

5. Remove the center speaker lid.
6. Confirm the telematics control unit is connected.
•
If the telematics control unit is connected, go to the REPAIR PROCEDURE.
•
If the telematics control unit is not connected, connect the unit and do the inspection procedure again.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the 12 volt battery.
2. Remove the center speaker lid.
3. Disconnect the connectors at the telematics control unit.

4. Remove the telematics control unit.
5. Install the new telematics control unit and torque the bolts to 4.4 N·m (3.2 lb-ft).
6. Install the center speaker lid.
7. Connect the 12 volt battery.
Register the Telematics Control Unit
8. Connect the HDS.
9. Launch the i-HDS.
10. Launch the Immobilizer Setup Tool.
11. Click the Start button.
12. Enter the User Authentication credentials.
13. Click OK (not PCM-Code).
14. Under ONE-PUSH START select Registration, then KEYLESS ACCESS Remotes Registration.
15. Select Replace Telematics Service Unit.
16. Click OK to start the registration process.
17. Turn the vehicle OFF.
18. When instructed, turn the vehicle to ON, the vehicle registration process is complete.
19. After completing the registration on the dealer PC, make sure the vehicle is in the ON mode for about 20 minutes.
20. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode again and turn it to the ON mode after waiting about 10 seconds.
