Applies To: All Rosenbauer Commanders, Avengers, and Warriors that receive a 3 rd
wiper on their windshield.
Assistance Needed: Use the a ached work instruc ons and contact Rosenbauer via
SRS to request parts.

1” Unibit

5/32 drill bit

90 degree cut off wheel

•

2 ½” hole saw

• Drill to enlarge the single ball hole on
the Arm Drive (8628332-001)
➢ Drill to 25/64” for double wall

➢ Upon removal from wiper motor, mark the
bottom hole of the Arm Drive so that you
can reinstall into the same position

• Use grinder or cut-off
wheel to gently grind
down the weld on this
cab support

• Drill 4 holes with 5/32”
drill bit for ¼”-20 bolts

Before grind

➢ Follow 8627001 REV C
drawing for dimensions

After grind

➢ Raise the cab to
complete this step.
Before

• Use 2 ½” Hole Saw to
make a clearance hole
for Round Rod Third
Wiper 8626970-001
After

➢ Follow Detail C from
8627001 REV C drawing
for dimensions

• Grease all joints with white lithium
grease

• Remove 8628332-001 Arm
Drive Wiper, take out the
single ball pivot point,
replace with double ball
system
• Mount the 8627979-001
LINKAGE, RECT, 3RD
WIPER SYSTEM,
COMMANDER to wiper
motor

• Install second wiper
arm 8626971-001 from
the motor to the bell
crank

• Notch out cab for third wiper
arm
➢ Refer to Detail F from 8627001
REV C for dimensions

• Add two ¼” washers to all
three heim joints

Check for contact in this area
– if there is contact, grind out
this part of cab to make room
for the heim joint

• Using 1” Unibit, drill a
hole for the grommet
according to 8628345
REV A

• Install the wiper arm
8600845-001 & remove
the Washer Hose from
third wiper arm.
