VERY IMPORTANT: This TPI is only applicable to vehicles which have one or a combination of the following issues evident
during the Pre Delivery Inspection (PDI)
•

Vehicle is pulling to the left or right

And/or
•

Steering wheel vibration

And/or
•

Other steering geometry/alignment concerns

Technical background
Should one or a combination of the afore mentioned symptoms be evident, please refer to the instructions within the Measure section ensuring
all steps are conducted
NOTICE
IMPORTANT NOTICE: The adjustment of the steering geometry MUST only be conducted once permission has been granted via DISS

Production change

Measure
1) Before starting any work - Take a note/record all tyre pressures (all four wheels)
•

Check the tyre pressures against the correct specification (all four wheels) - Actual before and after results should be attached to the DISS
query

•

Referring to Figure 1 - Take photographs of the track rod end threads before and after alignment (left and right hand side) the
photographs must be attached to the DISS query

2) Measure and note the dimensions of the following:
•

Dimension -a- between the track rod ball joint -1- and the track rod -2- (left and right hand side)

Once permission has been granted to align/adjust the steering geometry please ensure the following is attached to the DISS query
•

Geometry results before and after alignment/adjustment

•

Vehicle ride heights before and after alignment/adjustment
