The affected vehicles have been marked with campaign number 0062070000 in AIR.
In order to determine if a specific motorcycle is affected by this campaign it will be necessary to verify the
vehicle VIN in AIR (Aftersales Information Research). Based on the response of the system, either proceed
with the repair or take no further action. Please note, open campaigns or vehicle stops may not appear in
DCS Warranty Vehicle Inquiry or sales systems until 24-72 hours after they are announced, therefore AIR is
always the recommended method for determining open campaigns and vehicle stops.
SITUATION
With the second model update of the R 1250 R and R 1250 RS, the “Sport” view in the TFT display is part of
the standard equipment. This sub-function is not activated in vehicles that are not equipped with optional
equipment “224 Drive modes Pro”.
This issue will be repaired in Series production August 2023.
PROCEDURE
Customers with affected vehicles will be notified by a customer letter regarding the missing sport screen
view and the option to have it enabled at a later time.
For vehicles that have not yet been delivered, customers must be informed of the missing "Sport” view
screen when the vehicle is delivered.
The “Sport” view can be activated with a vehicle software update to I-level K001-23-07-500 in the TFT
display (available with ISTA programming version 4.41.30 (ISTA version 4.41.41), Released on June 7th
