FRONT SPOTLIGHT ELECTRICAL REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS
1.

Remove the Driver Seat
A. Cut the zip ties securing the
OEM seat wire harness.
B. Using an E12 Torx Socket,
remove the (4) fasteners
securing the seat.
C. Remove the seat from the unit.

2.

Remove the buttons and the fasteners
from the Mid-Seat Access Cover.
(Figure 1)

Pull the Mid-Seat Access Cover
forward to gain full access.

4.

Route the Pink and Red wires from the relay harness jumper (Figure 3)
A. Locate the outer support block on the step assembly.
B. Route the Pink and Red wires from the Mid-Ship seat area to the driver seat base.

C.

Reaching down inside the OEM seat base to the pass-thru
opening, locate the wires and pull through

5.

Remove the cover plate installed over the (3) OEM mounting studs.

6.

With a ratchet, extension and 10mm socket, remove the mounting
nut from the center stud. (Figure 4)

7.

Add a 15A inline fuse holder to the center stud and
tighten. (Figure 5)

8. Re-install the cover plate.
9. Using wire strippers, strip the pink and red wires.
10. Electrical connections at OEM Seat Base.
A. Connect the 12GA Red wire to the 15A Inline fuse in a Double WAGO. (Figure 6)
B. Remove the Double WAGO from the Purple and Blue inline fuse holder which is mounted to the rear stud.
Connect the 14GA Pink wire to the Purple and Blue inline fuse holder in a Triple WAGO. (Figure 7)

11. Electrical connections at the Mid-Ship Seat Base.
A. Locate the connectors at the G12. (Figure 8)
B. Cut the Red wire before the 4-pin plug (harness side with Yellow tape) and connect with 14GA White wire
(from relay harness assembly) in a Double WAGO.
C. Cut the double Red wires before the 12-pin plug (harness side with Yellow tape) and connect with 12GA
Yellow wire (from relay harness assembly) in a Triple WAGO.

12. From the back side of the dash, squeeze tabs and push out the double
switch assembly.
13. Remove the light switch and replace with new supplied switch. (Figure 9)
14. Test the installation - With this new configuration, the light will only turn
on when the engine is running and the dash switch is turned on.
15. With the correct functionality, the double switch assembly can be put back
into the dash.
16. Complete Firefly update (See Attached Firefly Instructions – v12.22 or later.
17. Secure the Relay to the back side of the Mid-Seat Access Cover and all
wires can be put behind the cover.
18. With the fasteners previously removed, re-secure the Mid-Seat Access
Cover.

19. Re-Installing the Driver OEM Seat
A. Using an E12 Torx Socket, re-install and tighten. Torque = 29 LBF-FT
Note: Seat Bolts should be finger started to prevent cross-threading.
20. OEM seat harness must route through the rear foam isolator to allow seat to swivel freely without harness concerns.
21. Double check OEM seat harness are secure at the four OEM locations. (Figure 10)
