Dear Dealers,
Ongoing quality inspections performed on the model in question, combined with your reports,
have shown that the first production batch of the model in question is equipped with electric
fan motors that may be defective due to a supply problem.
To avoid this condition, we ask you to update the motorcycles in the following manner:
1. Replacement of the water radiator electric fan motors (only if the batch marked on the left
side of the water radiator is prior to 04.01.23 [January 4th, 2023]).
2. Removal of the aesthetic cover of the water radiator electric fan motors (this operation is
only to be carried out if the water radiator electric fan motors are replaced).
3. Replacement of the BBS fuse (from 20 amp to 25 amp).
4. Update of the BBS software to rev. 23.
NOTE
To avoid updating compliant motorcycles, we ask you to check the date
stamp on the left side of the radiator before replacing the motors.
At the same time (only in the case of replacing electric fan motors), we also ask you to update
the oil cooler belly fairing assembly with the application of some aesthetic protections.

workshop equipment and its reimbursement is included in the labor.

Reimbursement for work associated with this Pre-delivery Campaign will be made through the
regular warranty claim procedure using the “VIN History” section of the DCS.
The warranty claim is pre-filled and identified as CR253.

WARNING
To ensure the correct execution of the operation within the provided labor time to
carry out the updates, it is necessary to follow the sequence indicated in the
following instructions.
We recommend taking your time to fully understand the procedure before
attempting its implementation on the motorcycle (you may print the document in
color for a better understanding).
We also remind you that the work environment where you carry out the procedure
and the tools and equipment used (wrenches and gloves) must be clean.

Position the motorcycle on a rear paddock stand.
2.
Loosen screw (10) M5x16 and remove spacer (11).
Loosen the 2 screws (12) M5x8.5 and remove the LH radiator cover (15).

WARNING
Check the eight-digit date stamp on the left side of the coolant radiator.
The first six digits indicate the production date (dd/mm/yy).

If it is before 04/01/2023, proceed with the instructions below, then replace the fan
motors.
WARNING
If there is no date stamp on the radiator, proceed with the instructions below, then
replace the fan motors anyway.
•
If the date is after 04/01/2023 (included), the fan motors are NOT to be replaced, then
proceed with the instructions from step (48).
We ask you to report any cases via Youtech where you find the date stamp after 04/01/2023,
in order to exclude the motorcycle from the above Campaign and request authorization for a
Standard Warranty claim (

3. Loosen screw (10) M5x16 and remove spacer (11).
Loosen the 2 screws (12) M5x8.5.
4. Slide out the horn wiring branch (13) from its retainers and remove the right radiator
cover (14).

5. Loosen the 2 screws (16) M5x9 and recover the 2 nylon washers (17).
Loosen the screw (8) M5x10.5 and recover the nylon washer (17).
Loosen the 2 screws (9) and remove the front belly fairing cover (B).
6. Loosen the 2 screws (16) M5x9 and recover the 2 nylon washers (17). Remove the LH and
RH belly fairing covers.

7. Place a container near the cap (18) and place the vehicle on the side stand.
Unscrew the cap (18) located on the water radiator and recover its gasket (19).
8. Unscrew the cap (20) on the water radiator and allow all the coolant to drain completely.
NOTE
Note down the amount of liquid removed from the system in order to top up
with the same amount when refilling.

9. Position the gasket (19) in place and screw in the cap (18), tightening it to a torque of 2.0
Nm – 2.5Nm.
10. Disconnect the left electric fan connector (21) from the tab (22) on the left electric system
support.
Disconnect the left electric fan connector (21). Repeat the same procedure on the RH side.

11. Loosen the 2 screws (23) M5x9 and remove the LH belly fairing support (24).
12. Loosen the 2 clamps (25) and disconnect the delivery pipe (26) and the return pipe (27).

13. Loosen the 2 M5x40 screws (28) securing the lower part of the water radiator assembly,
by counter-holding the 2 nuts (29).
14. Disconnect the 2 connectors (30) of the horn wiring branch.
