Summary
The warranty coverage for repairs and replacement of the front wiring on certain 2019MY G70 (IK) vehicles has been extended to 10 years or 120,000 miles from the date of original retail delivery or date of first use, whichever occurs first, and is valid for original and subsequent owners. Some vehicles may have an inoperative blower motor (not blowing). This may be caused by damage or deterioration of the blower motor multi-fuse and fuse box. Follow the procedures in this bulletin to inspect for damage or deterioration and, if necessary, replace the blower motor front wiring.

and the affected part is still under warranty, submit a separate claim using the same repair order. If the
affected part is out of warranty, submit a Prior Approval request for goodwill consideration prior to
performing the work.

Inspect the operation of the blower motor and
inspect for damage of the fuse box (A).

Visually check for damage of the multi-fuse (B)
and fuse box.
STUI
Using STUI, take pictures of the current
state (damaged or not) of the multi-fuse
and fuse box.
Upload the photos to STUI.
•
If the multi-fuse and fuse box are not
damaged (OK), operation is complete.
•
If the multi-fuse or fuse box is damaged
(NG), (see examples at right), proceed
with front wiring replacement procedure.

Remove the main crash pad (B) by loosening
the fixing bolts and nuts, lifting the main crash
pad slightly to separate the main crash pad,
and then removing the passenger airbag
connector.

Using STUI, take a photo of the newly
installed front wiring assembly with the
last 6 digits of the VIN and the date of
repair on a piece of paper.
Upload the photo to STUI.
6.
Reinstall all components in reverse order of
removal.
7.
Reprogram customer’s presets if needed.
Test drive to verify normal operation of the
vehicle and the blower motor.
Service procedure has been completed.
