Summary
This Technical Service Bulletin describes the verification and resolution of issue of wherein Schneider Electric has notified Cummins
that a population of ComPact NSX 400-630A and EasyPact CVS 400A-630A Molded Case Circuit Breakers (MCCB) may contain “a nonconforming component in its mechanism that may result in the circuit breaker not operating as intended under certain conditions." Cummins is campaigning these generating sets to implement a Product Notice issued by Schneider Electric. This is an update to the previously submitted communication.

Resolution
Impacted breakers will need to be repaired according to the repair procedure provided by Schneider Electric. Refer to the Service
Instructions of the TSB for details.
Service Instructions
1. Verify if the unit is affected by inspecting the date code. Refer to section "Verification/Confirmation" of the TSB.
2. Breakers which are identified as impacted based on the date code will need to be repaired. For repair, contact Schneider Electric
directly, refer to Table 5 below. Schneider Electric will provide information on repair procedure and parts required.
2a.lf the breakeri is repaired, test-run the generator set to check for its normal operation after the repair work is completed.
2b. Place a green OK sticker or blue round dot sticker on the circuit breaker to represent repaired.

Parts — Provided at no costs, mention PRB-233066 (Technician to work with Schneider Electric for repair. See Table 5 below for
Schneider Country Contacts).
Travel: Allowing no more than 2 trips. 1 trip for the inspection and 1 trip, if needed, to repair the breaker.
Expiration Date - April 30", 2024.
If the breaker is impacted, only repair of the breaker is typically required. In an atypical case, however, where removal and
replacement of breaker is performed, proof of removal of Affected Breaker from customer site and scrapping certificate of any
identified Affected Breaker that has been replaced further to Remediation and scrapped in accordance with the relevant local
environmental standards will be needed.
