D/C Cut Fuse (30A) Installation

To minimize battery discharge during transportation and storage, the D/C cut fuses (30A) have
been removed at the assembly plant and temporarily stored in the blank spaces of the relay
block in the engine compartment.
During PDS, remove the D/C cut fuses (30A) from the blank spaces of the relay block in the
engine compartment and install them in the locations shown.

NOTE
While the vehicle is stored at the dealership, disconnect the negative (–) battery terminal to prevent
battery discharge. Refer to L-SB-0016-23 (USA) or L-SB-0017-23 (Mexico) Battery Maintenance During
PDS for battery maintenance information.

NOTE

Head Unit System Reset

BEFORE vehicle delivery, please confirm that the welcome screen with language options
appears on the head unit display when the ignition is switched to the ON position. There may be
instances where the welcome screen with language options may not properly appear on the
head unit display.
If the welcome screen showing language options is not displayed, complete the following steps:
1. Select the Settings option (gear icon).
2. Scroll down and select the Info & Security option.
3. The System Reset dialogue box will appear. Select Reset to confirm the resetting of
the system.
Confirm that the welcome screen with language options is now displayed.

Deletion of Vehicle Alert History

As the D/C cut fuses are removed, the communication between the various ECUs is interrupted.
When the D/C fuses are reinstalled, the communication status is restored, but Lexus Enform
Service Connect may store malfunction history in the form of vehicle alert history.
Therefore, it is necessary to operate the multi-display and delete the vehicle alert history AFTER
installing the D/C cut fuse during PDS at the dealership.
Deletion Procedure

1. Turn the engine switch (power switch) to the ON position (ON mode).
2. Push the Menu switch on the remote touch device.
3. On the multi-display, enter the following menus: Info – Vehicle Alert History.
4. If there is vehicle alert history stored, perform the Delete History operation.
HINT
If there is no vehicle alert history stored, the system will display a message stating
“There is no vehicle alert history.”

5. When the vehicle alert history deletion confirmation screen is displayed, select Yes.
HINT
When deletion of the vehicle alert history is complete, the system will display a message stating
“There is no vehicle alert history.”

6. Turn the engine switch (power switch) to the OFF position (OFF mode).

Seat Position Control ECU Initialization

After the D/C cut fuse in installed, the Seat ECU will need to be initialized. Refer to the
applicable Repair Manual for the seating position control ECU initialization procedure (LC 500 /
LC 500c / LC 500h) (procedure 2).
Tire Pressure Warning System (TPWS) Initialization

After adjusting all the tires to the correct air pressure, perform the initialization of the Tire
Pressure Warning System. Refer to the applicable Repair Manual for the TPWS initialization
procedure (LC 500 / LC 500c / LC 500h). Note the spare tire does NOT have a TPWS sensor.
NOTE
To adjust the tire pressure correctly when the outside temperature is significantly colder than shop
temperature, perform a Health Check using Techstream and select the compensation tire pressure
checkbox. Compensation pressures will display on the Health Check results screen. Adjust the tire
pressure when the tires are cold.

Parking Assist Monitor System Initialization

As a result of the removal of the D/C cut fuse, the power source to the steering angle sensor is
cut off. When the D/C cut fuse is reinstalled, the parking assist monitor system monitor will be
operative, but it cannot display guidelines to assist parking operation because the center position
recognized by the steering angle sensor may not be in an initial position. Therefore, perform steering
Parking Assist Monitor System Initialization AFTER installing the D/C cut fuse during PDS.
If Estimated Course Lines Are Not Displayed

1. Start the engine/hybrid system.

2. Place the shifter in the (R) Reverse position.
NOTE
If the estimated course lines are displayed,
initialization of the parking assist monitor
system has been completed.

3. Place the shifter in the (P) Park position.

4. Turn the steering wheel from the lock-to-lock position.
5. Place the shifter in the (R) Reverse position.
6. When the estimated course line appears on the rear view monitor as illustrated, the initialization
of the parking assist monitor system has been completed.
