This bulletin provides information to apply anti-noise tape to the headliner and assist handle brackets on some
2022MY Stinger (CK) vehicles produced from September 9, 2021 through present, equipped with a sunroof.
The affected vehicles may exhibit an intermittent noise due to normal body flexing while driving on uneven
roads. Follow the procedure outlined in this publication to apply anti-noise tape to promote noise dampening.

Detach both front ‘A’ Pillar trims (C).

Detach both left and right Upper ‘B’ Pillar (F)
trims.

Remove the front view camera cover (G).

Disconnect the front view camera connector
(H).

Remove the overhead console lamp cover (I).

Loosen the two (2) screws to remove the
overhead console lamp assembly (J).

Detach both left and right sun visor screw
covers (K).

11.
Loosen the two (2) sun visor screws (L) for both
left and right sun visors.

12.
Separate the sun visor and detach the
connector for both left and right sun visors.

Remove the two (2) front headliner clips (M).
NOTICE

Do NOT reuse headliner clips.
14.
Loosen the sun visor retainer mounting screws
(N) for both left and right sun visors.

15.
Loosen the two (2) screws (O) to remove both
left and right front assist handles.

16.
Remove the room lamp (P) by referring to
“Body Electrical System → Lighting System →
Room Lamp → Repair procedures” in the
applicable Shop Manual on KGIS.

Separate the headliner (Q) from the roof.
Note: Use the driver and passenger front
headrests to support the headliner.
IMPORTANT
Be careful to not fold the headliner
when separating from the velcro as a

visible crease can form.
18.
Using an air gun, blow shop air through all roof
frame openings to clear any debris.
19.
Properly tighten all exposed screws, nuts, and
bolts along the entirety of the sunroof and roof
frame.
CAUTION
Do NOT overtighten any of the
screws, nuts, and bolts. Doing so may
cause them to strip and/or break.
20.
Adhere a strip of Tesa® tape in all of the
headliner clip brackets (R), as shown.
Use a 90° pick to adhere the tape to the inside
of the clip brackets, as shown.

Replace the headliner trim clips (S).

Repeat for all eight (8) headliner trim clips.
22.
Remove both left and right assist handle plates
(T).

23.
Fold over the exposed Tesa® tape and adhere
it to the metal mounting clip for both left and
right assist handle brackets, as shown.
Repeat for all four (4) sides.
24.
Loosen the two (2) assist handle bracket bolts
(U) for both left and right sides.
Tightening torque for bolts:
86.4 in.lb (1.0 Kfg.m)

Affix anti-noise Tesa® tape to each assist
handle bracket so the edges are completely
covered as shown.
26.
Using an awl or Phillips screwdriver, poke a hole
in the anti-noise pad through the two (2)
mounting holes for both left and right sides.
27.
Install all removed parts in reverse order.
IMPORTANT
When installing the headliner, do NOT
reuse the headliner mounting clips.
28.
Verify proper operation.
