After completing installation of the Porsche Classic Communication Management Plus (PCCM+) in the abovementioned vehicle, the customer may have a concern of an illuminated Malfunction Indicator Light accompanied by
one or more of these faults:
•
DME
P1530 - Time information via CAN missing(Signal implausible)
•
Instrument cluster
1299 - GATEWAY(No signal/communication)
0459 - PCM2 (No signal/communication)
•
Gateway
1044 - Control unit programming error (no display)
0459 - PCM2 (No signal/communication)

Service Information
If the above-mentioned condition is confirmed, update the PCCM+ according to the instructions located in the PCM

Verify vehicle is a 2008 Cayenne with a PCCM+ installed with check engine light illuminated.
Scope 1 (12 TU):
Check version of PCCM+ to verify software version:

CAN-20220706 - perform scope 2 (Photo required: PCCM+ with version displayed)
Not CAN-20220706 – do not perform scope 2 (Photos required: VIN, MIL, PCCM+ with version displayed)

Scope 2 (100 TU):
Scan vehicle and send VAL
