DESCRIPTION
Some vehicles may experience a gap between the glass and the rear door glass run-channel due to run-channel
deformation. This causes poor appearance and wind noise when driving at high speed. This concern is due to
the incorrect shape of the glass run-channel.
NOTE:
Japan built vehicles: The shape of the glass run-channel has been modified.
Mexico built vehicles: A mass-production change will be implemented in the future.
Customers experiencing this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Verify the customer concern.
2. Replace the rear door glass run-channel with a modified part according to the instructions on MGSS online (REAR
DOOR GLASS RUN-CHANNEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION)
NOTE: The rear beltline molding does not need to be removed or replaced for this repair as indicated in the workshop
manual.
