This TSB replaces Pending Service Solution (PSS) 2065722/4: PSS 93: DTC U041300 Battery Energy Control
Module "B" stored in ECM and/or Electric Drive Control Unit.
If the above condition applies to the vehicle the Hybrid Battery Management software part number and version
must be checked.
Using ODIS identify the hybrid battery regulation control module (J840) address word 008C (Figure 1).
• If the software part number is 4M4915233G with version 0371 perform SVM update Option 1 below
• If the software part number is not 4M4915233G with version 0371 perform SVM update Option 2 below

SVM Update Option 1 Instructions
1. Follow all instructions in TSB 2011732: 00 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions.
2. Update the Hybrid Battery Management control unit (J840) using the SVM action code as listed in the table
below, if necessary:
Note:
To prevent the high-voltage battery from charging during the software update, the high-voltage charging cable on
vehicles with high-voltage components must be unplugged BEFORE the SVM code is entered. Charging the highvoltage battery during a software update can cause damage to the high-voltage components.
