vehicles.

It is essential to check the part number of the removed original high-voltage wiring harness and of the new
replacement high-voltage wiring harness.

If the high-voltage wiring harness for the charging socket is replaced as listed in Table 1.2, an SVM code will need
to be performed and a replacement test plan performed.
SVM Update Instructions
Note:
To prevent the high-voltage battery from charging during the software update, the high-voltage charging cable on
vehicles with high-voltage components must be unplugged BEFORE the SVM code is entered. Charging the highvoltage battery during a software update can cause damage to the high-voltage components.
Note:
The parking brake must be released and the diagnostic interface must be hardwired into the scan tool.
1. Follow all instructions in TSB 2011732: 00 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions.
2. Update the On-Board Battery Charger (J1050) using the SVM action code as listed in the table below, if
necessary:

After the SVM code has been performed the following must be performed with the scan tool.
• Using the latest ODIS version, start diagnostics via Guided Fault Finding -> “Select own test”.
• 00C6 – High-voltage battery charger – J1050.
• 00C6 – High-voltage battery charger, functions.
• C6 – Replace the control module.
• After the update, the basic setting of the parking brake must be performed.
