New Detroit Powertrain Module Standard Diagnostic Times

 Overview

As a result of ongoing continuous improvement projects and labor recovery review, DTNA is pleased to
announce new Standard Diagnostic Times (SDTs) for multiple Detroit powertrain modules:
• Motor Control Module (MCM)
• Common Powertrain Control Module (CPC)
• After Treatment Control Module (ACM)
• Transmission Control Module (TCM)

 New Labor
Operations

The 12 new SDTs are for all chassis service models that can be equipped with DD5, DD8, DD13, DD15,
and DD16 engines; they will be applied to repair orders opened on or after April 3, 2023.
In addition, to complement the new labor operations, several SDTs will be deactivated:
• MCM, CPC, ACM, TCM DIAGNOSTICS – EASY (3RB-000AE): 0.3 hours
• MCM, CPC, ACM, TCM DIAGNOSTICS – MODERATE (3RB-000BE): 0.7 hours
• MCM, CPC, ACM, TCM DIAGNOSTICS – DIFFICULT (3RB-000EE): 1.7 hours

submitted through the Warranty Support Center (WSC).
