Dear Dealers,
As a result of our ongoing production process quality checks, we have identified the need to
check and, if necessary, modify the correct positioning of the cylinder 1 MAP sensor tube.
The tube could be partially choked under the left engine cover mounting fin, causing a
possible malfunction that would lead to the engine warning light on the instrument panel
coming on. This will not cause motorcycle to be forced to stop.
The affected motorcycles are of recent manufacture, so we ask you to update them according
to the instructions contained in the following bulletin during vehicle pre-delivery operations or
upon the first time the client brings the motorcycle to the workshop.
We have found a way to check and reposition the tube that does not require the complete
disassembly of the LH engine cover and its fairing and is therefore much quicker. Below are
the methods to be used.

VIN HISTORY

It is possible to search by individual frame number.

CAMPAIGNS

It is possible to search for all the frame numbers that you
received from Ducati Motor Holding.

Client Impact
All motorcycles in your inventory (to be registered or already registered) and to be delivered to
final Clients must be updated during pre-delivery operations and always before delivery to the
final Client. All motorcycles already delivered to final Clients must undergo this
inspection/update as soon as they come to your workshop. Note: this is NOT a safety recall.
Spare parts
No spare parts are required from Ducati.
Parts Distribution
The reimbursed time also includes the compensation for the cost of any consumables which
should be sourced locally.

Warranty Reimbursement Rules
Reimbursement for work associated with this Workshop Campaign will be made through the
regular warranty claim procedure using the “VIN History” section of the DCS.
The warranty claim is pre-filled and identified as CR250
Operation includes reimbursement for the parts listed for the operation, consumables for
carrying out the work; and labor for

necessary for:
• Vehicle reception
• Consumables for carrying out the work
• Check and if necessary, reposition the Cylinder 1 MAP Sensor Tube
• Soft cleaning of the vehicle
Service Solution
WARNING
To ensure the correct execution of the operation within the provided labor time to
carry out the updates, it is necessary to follow the sequence indicated in the
following instructions.
We recommend taking your time to fully understand the procedure before
attempting its implementation on the motorcycle (you may print the document in
color for a better understanding).
We also remind you that the work environment where you carry out the procedure
and the tools and equipment used (wrenches and gloves) must be clean.
1. Position the motorcycle on the rear paddock stand.
2. Working on the LH side of the motorcycle, loosen no. 2 screws (1), the screw (2) and
remove the LH radiator cover (3), paying attention to avoid any damage.

3. Check the tube (1) layout of cylinder 1 MAP sensor.
•

If the tube (1) bend is like that in Figure A (correct layout), go to step (6).

•

If the tube (1) bend is like that in Figure B (NOT correct layout), go to step (4).

4. Remove the screw (4), slightly lift the engine cover, and remove the tube (1) as shown in
the figure.

5. Ensure that the layout of tube (1) is as shown in the figure and then tighten the screw (4)
to a torque of 3 Nm ± 10%.

6. Check that there is still pre-applied thread-locker on the thread of the 2 screws (1) and
screw (2).
7. Position the LH radiator cover (3) and secure it in place starting screw (2) on the front and
screws (1) on the rear.
8. Tighten the screw (2) and the 2 screws (1) to a torque of 5 Nm ± 10%.

9. Remove the rear paddock stand.
10. Perform a soft cleaning of the motorcycle before delivering it to the Client.
