 IMPORTANT
Dealers must perform this Service Campaign on all affected vehicles prior to customer retail delivery
and whenever an affected vehicle is in the shop for any maintenance or repair.
Access the “Vehicle Information” screen via WEBDCS to identify open campaigns.
Description: This bulletin provides information related to the Integrated Electric Brake (IEB) software
update for GV60 (JW1) vehicles to revise the brake assist reverse torque logic of the rear wheels when
DTC “C126802 – Circuit Leak Fail” occurs.
Applicable Vehicles: Certain 2023MY GV60 (JW1) produced from February 04, 2022 to October 10,
2022.

NOTE 2: If a part that is not covered by this campaign is in need of replacement while performing this
campaign and the affected part is still under warranty, please submit a separate claim using the same
repair order. If the affected part is out of warranty, submit a prior approval request for goodwill
consideration prior to performing the work.

NOTICE
Verify the vehicle’s control unit ROM ID version to the ROM ID Table below before attempting to
upgrade the control unit software.
You must initially perform the GDS ECU Update in Auto Mode.
• If the upgrade fails, disconnect the negative (-) auxilary battery terminal for at least 30
seconds, reconnect the terminal and then retry the upgrade in Manual Mode.
• Remember the current ROM ID before the upgrade in case manual ECU upgrade would be
performed.

WARNING

GDS-M Vehicle Battery Low Voltage Warning:

1. If voltage is below 12 volts per the below GDS warning, select Back.
2. Connect a battery charger to the 12 volt auxillary battery.
3. Then continue with the upgrade.

Service Procedure:
1.

a. Connect the GDS-M.
b. Perform the GDS software ECU Upgrade
using Auto Mode.
c. Follow the instructions on the screen.

NOTICE
If the upgrade fails, disconnect the negative (-)
auxilary battery terminal for at least 30 seconds,
reconnect the terminal and then retry the
upgrade in Manual Mode.

After the upgrade is completed, OTA
Initialization process must be carried out.

Connect the GDS-M.
Select “S/W Management”.
Go to “Central Communication Unit (CCNF)”.
Select “OTA Initialization”.
Follow the instructions on the screen.

3.

After the OTA initialization process is completed,
disconnect the negative (-) auxilary battery
terminal for at least 30 seconds, then reconnect
the terminal.

4.

a. Connect the GDS-M.
b. Check for Diagnostic Trouble Codes in all
systems.
c. Erase any DTCs.

5.

Confirm normal vehicle operation.
