SUBJECT:
GRILL INSPECTION/REPLACEMENT (SA528)
This bulletin provides information to inspect and, if necessary, replace the crash pad center speaker grill cover
on some 2023MY Telluride (ON) vehicles produced from August 31, 2022 through December 22, 2022. Some
center speaker grill covers in the subject vehicles may not fit properly on the crash pad. Follow the procedure
outlined in this publication to inspect, and if needed, replace the crash pad center speaker grill cover. Before
conducting the procedure, verify that the vehicle is included in the list of affected VINs.
NOTICE
A Service Action is a repair program without customer notification that is performed during the
warranty period. Any dealer requesting to perform this repair outside the warranty period will
require DPSM approval.
Repair status for a VIN is provided on WebDCS (Service → Warranty Coverage → Warranty Coverage
Inquiry → Campaign Information). Not completed Recall / Service Action reports are available on
WebDCS (Consumer Affairs → Not Completed Recall → Recall VIN → Select Report), which includes
a list of affected vehicles.

Replacement Procedure:
1.
Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
2.
Remove crash pad center speaker grill cover
(A).

Use a non-marring trim removal tool
(such as Snap-on® Part Number PBN5
or equivalent) to avoid damaging trim
pieces.
3.
Disconnect the auto light sensor connector (B).

4.
Remove auto light sensor (C) and blanking
cover (D) from the speaker cover grill.
5.
Install all parts in reverse order of removal.
6.
Confirm proper vehicle operation.
