RSB-56-23-001-1: Front Door Fixed Glass Molding
Separation
Rivian is launching a technical service bulletin for some model year 2022 R1T and R1S vehicles that are equipped
with early production versions of the left-hand (LH) and right-hand (RH) front door fixed glass moldings. In some
situations, the molding may become separated from the fixed glass, resulting in excessive wind noise and a
perceived quality issue. Upon customer complaint of the molding separating from the fixed glass, or complaint
of excessive wind noise from the front glass area, Rivian will perform this bulletin to upgrade the affected
components for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles.

Inspection
On both sides: Inspect:

• If either the LH or RH component is loose: Continue to the Procedure section.
• If neither component is loose: This bulletin is not applicable. Discontinue this procedure.

Procedure
1. On both sides: Replace: Glass, Door, Fixed, Front (refer to service manual procedure 561015010).
2. Reinstall all components that were removed for access and replace all non-reusable components. Refer
to the service manual procedures referenced in this document for additional component reusability
information and torque specifications.
