Summary
This Technical Service Bulletin was issued for a fault code of 3559. The cause of this is to be deterimend the OEM wiring connector to the aftertreatment DEF dosing unit is loose at the back of the connector at the weather pack seal. Need verification by verify fault code 3559 active or inactive. Locate the OEM harness aftertreatment DEF dosing unit connector. Pull up OEM harness wire cover on the backside of the aftertreatent DEF dosing unit connector. Check for loose weather pack seal.

Issue
Schneider Electric has notified Cummins that a population of PowerPact L 250-600A Molded Case
Circuit Breakers (MCCB) may contain a safety issue requiring urgent attention due to “a nonconforming
component in its mechanism that may result in the circuit breaker not operating as intended under
certain conditions. Should this condition occur, a potential for PERSONAL INJURY AND/OR
PROPERTY DAMAGE may exist”. The purpose of this service bulletin is to cascade information from
the Schneider Electric Product Safety Notice, PRB-233066, to:
(1) increase visibility to the Schneider Electric Notice of Potential Unsafe Condition, and
(2) allow for proactive inspection to determine whether a particular unit may be impacted by this issue
as part of the Safety Warranty Campaign #4776 launched by Cummins.
Verification/Confirmation
Table 1 contains the list of generator set serial numbers potentially affected by this Warranty Campaign.
Cummins requires that these generator sets be inspected (inspection instructions below Table 1) and
necessary actions be taken if a unit is found to be impacted.
