• Affected vehicles will continue to include the
following RPOs for content which will remain:
– RPO: UD5 – Equipped with Front and Rear Park
Assist
– RPO: UD7 – Equipped with Rear Park Assist
– RPO: UVZ – Equipped with Reverse Automatic
Braking
Affected vehicles will include RPO: 00Y and/or RPO:
00Z (for affected system content).

Information:
Beginning in December 2021, certain 2022 MY
passenger car, crossover, SUV, and Truck models will
be produced without the Front and Rear Park Assist
Module or without the Rear Park Assist Module. For
limited subset of the impacted models and
configurations, the Removal of Front and Rear Park
Assist (UD5) will also cause Reverse Braking (UVZ) to
be non-functional. Some vehicles will be produced
without the Park Assist switch, while some vehicles will
be produced with Park Assist switch in place. For
vehicles with the Park Assist switch in place, this switch
may illuminate if depressed, but will not operate as the

Park Assist feature is not available. Calibrations have
been changed for the Park Assist function not being
available.
Vehicle models which are produced without Park Assist
will be identified by including RPO: 00Y (Not Equipped
with Rear Park Assist) or RPO: 00Z (Not Equipped with
Front and Rear Park Assist), along with RPO: UD7 or
UD5 with or without UVZ as equipped.

Considerations for diagnosing electrical wiring
concerns:
System components related to Rear Park Assist (UD7),
Front and Rear Park Assist (UD5) and Front and Rear
Park Assist (UD5) with Reverse Automatic Braking
(UVZ) will be unchanged in vehicles equipped with
RPO: 00Y or 00Z, along with RPO: UD7, UD5 and UVZ
as equipped, with exception of the Park Assist Module,
and for some vehicles the Park Assist Switch.
When diagnosing and repairing concerns with electrical
function which may be related to the Park Assist related
hardware; utilize appropriate diagnostics within SI and
replace any needed components as directed by the
Electronic Parts Catalog.
Important: Vehicles designated with RPO: 00Y or
RPO: 00Z are planned to have a future update to
enable the Park Assist feature. Do Not attempt to
enable this content apart from official direction for
retrofit.
