Upper engine mount fixings (x3) must be replaced as detailed within the Work section
Customer notification
The instructions should be conducted at the nearest opportunity, make a note of the required action on the workshop order before it is signed by
the customer
If it is omitted to perform the work required during a workshop visit, the customer should be notified immediately
You should also pass on this information to your new and used car sales departments so that affected vehicles are checked and repaired

Identification section (Figure 9)
If neither are evident please conduct the instructions within the Work section to completion

IMPORTANT: The following instructions must be conducted with the engine cross brace removed DO
NOT ATTEMPT TO REPLACE THE FIXINGS WITHOUT REMOVING THE ENGINE CROSS BRACE
1) Remove the right hand engine cover - Rep.Gr 10

Remove the centre engine cover - Rep,Gr 10
•
Remove the engine cross brace - Rep.Gr 50
2) Referring to Figure 2 - Remove the right and left hand harness bracket fixings

With care manoeuvre the harness upwards (ARROWS)

3) Referring to Figure 5 - Slacken the original (x3) fixings (DO NOT REMOVE ALL FIXINGS UNTIL INSTRUCTED)

4) Referring to Figure 6 - Remove the left hand upper fixing and immediately discard (HINT: Ensure local environmental guidelines are strictly
adhered to)

NOTE: If not clean (debris evident) - With care the operative should use compressed air to remove any debris before fitting the new fixing

Hand start the new upper left hand fixing - DO NOT TORQUE TIGHTEN THE FIXING UNTIL INSTRUCTED - This instruction must be
followed to allow the new fixings to be hand started and installed without resistance
5) Repeat Step 4 on the upper right hand fixing and immediately on the lower right hand fixing
6) Once all new fixings (x3) have been successfully hand started and installed - Torque tighten (x3) fixings to 20 Nm in the order shown (Figure
8)
