Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC’s) evident in Address: 0015 System name: 15 - Airbag Control Module
B130474: Left front seat belt tensioner control module Actuator deviated
B130574: Right front seat belt tensioner control module Actuator deviated
The DTC’s can be evident if the occupant uses a dummy seat belt buckle, the occupant may use the dummy seat belt buckle to prevent a
warning light or audible warnings

Technical background
Dummy seat belt buckles of any description MUST NOT be used under any circumstances, Figure 1 shows an example of a dummy seat belt
buckle

Measure
Should the use of a dummy seat belt buckle be suspected please advise as follows:
•

The customer should follow ALL instructions within the owners handbook in relation to Safety belts, the safety belts should be used at all
times, the customer should be made aware of the importance of wearing a safety belt

•

The safety belt system is used in conjunction with the safeguard system, the customer should follow ALL instruction within the owners
handbook regarding the safeguard system in relation to safety belt use

•

Retailer to determine if a dummy buckle was in use or not in use prior to carrying out any further investigation
