The customer asks about the operation of locking the vehicle, and may suggest that the vehicle has “locked
itself”.

Technical Background
The lock command history is stored in the comfort system central control module, J393 (address word 0046), or
the central locking control module, J429 (address word 0009).

To identify the source of why a vehicle is locked or unlocked, inspect the vehicle’s locking history.
Reference the information applicable to your vehicle below.
Be aware that the vehicle has a maximum number of events that it can store. In some cases; historical data which
corresponds to a concern may have been overwritten by more recent events.
