THIS SERVICE BULLETIN IS ALSO BEING RELEASED AS RAPID RESPONSE TRANSMITTAL
(RRT) **17-083**. ALL APPLICABLE SOLD AND UN-SOLD RRT VINs HAVE BEEN LOADED. TO
VERIFY THAT THIS RRT SERVICE ACTION IS APPLICABLE TO THE VEHICLE, USE VIP OR
PERFORM A VIN SEARCH IN TECHCONNECT. ALL REPAIRS ARE REIMBURSABLE
WITHIN THE PROVISIONS OF WARRANTY.
SUBJECT:
Headlamps and Wheel Alignment are out of Adjustment
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves adjusting the headlamps and correcting wheel alignment to proper
specifications.

NOTE: This bulletin applies to vehicles within the following markets/countries: NAFTA.
NOTE: This bulletin applies to vehicles built on October 03, 2016 (MDH 1003XX).
NOTE: This bulletin also applies to vehicles built on or after June 09, 2017 (MDH 0609XX)
and on or before June 13, 2017 (MDH 0613XX).
NOTE: **This bulletin applies to vehicles built on July 01, 2017 (MDH 0701XX).**
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The customer may describe that the headlamps are out of alignment, steering wheel is off-center or
may notice premature front tire wear.
DIAGNOSIS:
If a customer’s VIN is listed in VIP or your RRT VIN list, perform the repair. This RRT only applies
to vehicles on the RRT VIN list.
Customers that describe conditions listed in the Symptom/Condition above that are not on the RRT
VIN list should have normal diagnostics and repairs performed and normal service LOPs charged.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Perform wheel alignment. Refer to the detailed service procedures available in
DealerCONNECT> TechCONNECT under: Service Info 02 - Front Suspension> Wheel
Alignment> Standard Procedure> Alignment - Rack And Pinion Steering System. Proceed to
Step 2.
2. Align the front headlamps. Refer to the detailed service procedures available in
DealerCONNECT> TechCONNECT under: Service Info> 08 - Electrical> 8L - Lamps and
Lighting> Lamps/Lighting - Exterior> Standard Procedure> Standard Procedure - Front Lamp
Aiming.
POLICY:
Reimbursable within the provisions of the warranty.
