Description
This Temporary Repair Practice is being issued to address failures related to fault codes
124 and/or 3342 on certain L9 CM2350 Hybrid Bus engines with Allison Transmission
Systems only. This TRP authorizes certified repair locations to repair failures due to the
listed fault codes where troubleshooting leads to a confirmed failure of the components
related to the listed fault codes.

Note : This TRP only applies to engines that are no longer covered by a
Cummins Base, Extended, or Emissions warranty program. If a Cummins
coverage is available for the failed component, the claim should be filed to the
coverage that gives the most benefit to the Customer. File an Admin Only
claim to close the eligibility.

Have NO existing coverage, and
Must show as OPEN on QuickServe® Online for this field action, and
Must be coupled with Allison Transmission system, and
Must experience a failure due to one or more of the following fault codes: 124, 3342

Note : The ESN list is attached for reference.
After verifying that the engine meets the above requirements, perform the following
actions:
1. For FC124 and FC3342 resolution, follow the troubleshooting tree, including
applicable TSBs and highlighted service procedures, as applicable.

Material Disposition
Where applicable, items removed should be returned to ReCon for core credit. Unless
otherwise indicated, items with no core liability can be scrapped.
