SUBJECT:
P00C0-00 Turbocharger-Supercharger Bypass Valve 2 Control Circuit
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves inspecting and if necessary replacing the connector for the left turbocharger
bypass valve and installing a protective cover.

NOTE: This bulletin applies to vehicles equipped with a 2.9L 505HP V6 Bi-Turbo Engine
(Sales Code EED).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Customers may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. Upon further
investigation, the technician may find the following Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) has been set:
• P00C0-00 Turbocharger-Supercharger Bypass Valve 2 Control Circuit
DIAGNOSIS:
Using a Scan Tool (wiTECH 2) with the appropriate Diagnostic Procedures available in
DealerCONNECT/Service Library, verify all related systems are functioning as designed. If any
DTCs or symptom conditions, other than the one listed above is present, record the issues on the
repair order and repair as necessary before proceeding further with this bulletin.
If the customer describes the symptom/condition listed or if the technician finds the DTC, perform
the Repair Procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Remove the left fresh air intake duct and inspect for any damage to the By-pass valve
connector (Fig. 1) .
2. Was the connector damaged?
• YES >>> Replace the connector. Proceed to Step 3
• NO >>> This bulletin does not pertain. Normal diagnostic need to be performed.

3. Disconnect the By-pass valve connector.
4. Remove the wires from the plastic sleeve, cut the wires and remove the old damaged
connector.
5. Splice the new connector (68369901AA) wires onto the main harness. Refer to the detailed
service procedures available in DealerCONNECT> Service Library under: 29 - Non-DTC
Diagnostics / Circuit Testing Procedures / Standard Procedure
6. Put the new connector wires back into the protective sleeve and connect the new connector to
the By-pass valve.

7. Install the protective cover (68519378AA) on the By-pass valve (Fig. 2) .

8. Using the scan tool (wiTECH 2) clear all DTCs that may have been set while performing this
procedure.
