On August 17, 2022, General Motors communicated via GCUS-17-462 that
certain 2023 model year Chevrolet Bolt EV and EUV vehicles were not
impacted by the hood insulator build shy. This message is to inform you that a
small number of vehicles were shipped without hood insulators. We have
identified that one of these vehicles may have arrived at, or are still in transit
to, your dealership. This vehicle needs to be retrofitted prior to sale.
The attached Stop Delivery bulletin details important information regarding the
required steps to complete the release of this vehicle from Stop Delivery. Once
the service procedure contained in the bulletin has been performed on the
vehicle, the vehicle is released from stop delivery and the vehicle can be
delivered to the customer.
It is imperative that this vehicle is NOT sold or delivered to customers until the
final repair has been completed.
The parts necessary to complete this retrofit will be pre-shipped to your dealer on
September 22, 2022. Pre-shipped parts will be charged to dealer’s open parts
account.
The Investigate Vehicle History (IVH) screen in the Global Warranty
Management (GWM) system was updated on September 19, 2022.

Install hood insulator. Refer to Hood Insulator Replacement in SI.
Dealer Responsibility
Dealers must take the steps necessary to ensure that the service update correction has been made to all involved vehicles
in dealer inventory before selling or dealer-trading the vehicle, but no later than September 30, 2023.
All new, used, GM Certified Used, courtesy transportation vehicles, dealer shuttle vehicles, etc. in dealers' possession
and subject to this bulletin must be held and inspected/repaired per the service procedure of this bulletin before customers
take possession of these vehicles. Involved vehicles must be held and not delivered to customers, dealer-traded,
released to auction, used for demonstration, or any other purpose.
All GM Certified Used vehicles currently in the dealers’ inventory within the Certified Pre-Owned Inventory System
(CPOIS) will be de-certified and must be held and remedied per the service procedure in this bulletin. Upon submitting
an accepted/paid warranty transaction in the Global Warranty Management (GWM) system, the vehicle can be re-certified
for sale within the CPOIS system, or once again be used in the CTP program.
