Update 8/19/22
Please be advised that customer VINs with an RDR have been added and the campaign has been changed to
a Workshop Campaign.
The full TI is now available in PCSS and the AfterSales Document Database. The repair is immediately
available for all vehicles.
We expect a very low percentage of affected vehicles will need to have the Universal Joint replaced.
If you need to replace this part, please order the PET Part# via VOR PDX with car down flag. If a
replacement is necessary, the incurred labor costs and the additional cost of parts required must then
be invoiced using a subsequent credit appeal claim on the original campaign claim for this campaign
(after the initial claim pays). In this case, photographic documentation is absolutely essential and must
be attached to the subsequent campaign claim.

Summary

On the affected vehicles there is a possibility that the
universal joint of the intermediate steering shaft may
have been damaged during production.
If this is the case, there may be clearly perceptible
play and possible noises in the steering.

Please arrange for this measure to be carried out as
soon as possible on affected vehicles. As of the time
of this posting, the repair is immediately available.
The "Check" instructions are now available below
as of May 3rd, 2022.
