As a result of continuous monitoring of our product quality, it has been found that on the above specimens it is necessary to
replace the clutch cable with an optimised component part no. 8000D1068.
NOTE: Priority for intervention must be given to VINs in circulation and vehicles being delivered to the
final customer.

WARRANTY CLAIM AND LABOUR REFUND (STEP 1)
To obtain the refund for labour, a Warranty claim must be submitted using the following instructions:

It is mandatory to include the reference "CT 307" in the notes of the warranty claim.
Spare Part: part no. 8000D1068 Quantity 1 pc.
WARRANTY CLAIM AND LABOUR REFUND (STEP 2)
When the Warranty claim (see step 1) is validated by MV Agusta
Technical Service, the process must be completed by entering
the repair date.
Please note that the insertion of the date of repair in the Warranty claim represents certification that the motorbike has been
repaired by the dealer and allows also the payment of labour for the work carried out.
NOTE: We remind you that according to the new functions and procedures of warranty management, the insertion of the
date of repair is fundamental and mandatory as per technical communication no. 004/17.

Equipment required for operations
- Allen key 4 mm
- N °2 Wrenches 12 mm
- Torque spanner 0 - 10 Nm
INTERVENTION PROCEDURE:
NOTE: if the motorbike is already equipped with cable code 8000D1068 NO further operation WILL BE NECESSARY.

Remove the right-hand fairing.
loosen the two nuts that fix the clutch cable to the cable support plate part no. 8000B4678.
Release the clutch cable from the clutch release shaft part no. 8000B8987.
Remove the clutch switch connector away from the cable by removing the two rubber clamps present.
Remove the cable from the housing on clutch switch part no. 8000B8974.
Pull the clutch cable out, paying attention to its routing.
NOTE: The clutch cable removed MUST NOT BE USED AGAIN.
Take the new clutch cable part no. 8000D1068 and place it on the vehicle, paying attention to its routing; check the
correct routing by referring to the pictures below:

Tighten the two nuts securing the clutch cable to the cable support plate part no. 8000B4678 to a torque of 10 Nm.
NOTE: pay attention to the orientation of the metal cable guide; orient it so that it moves the clutch cable as far as
possible away from the exhaust manifold and with a distance from the right fairing of 4 mm:

Reposition the clutch switch connector on the command side of the cable using the two rubber ties previously
removed:

Ensure to have 5mm of freeplay on the clutch lever.
Ensure that all clutch cable play adjustment adjusters are locked.
Refit the right-hand fairing.
Check that all components function correctly and ensure that the handlebar has the correct rotation in both directions.
Perform a dynamic test of the vehicle.
