This is to revise and replace ATC2344-C, dated 11-Nov-21. This revision is to:
1 Re-open the Field Action, and
2 extend the expiration date to: 06-Jan-2023, and
3 update the ESN list.

DESCRIPTION:
This ATC is being issued to address leaks from aluminum oil cooler, on certain ISL G CM2180 or L9N CM2380 L124B
engines. This field action authorizes certified repair locations to replace the aluminum oil cooler with a stainless steel
oil cooler.
NOTE: Please take care to prevent unnecessary fluid loss. This field action does not cover any parts, fluids, filters nor
consumables other than those listed below. The intent of this ATC is to provide proactive coverage for operationally
sound units, regardless of Cummins coverage status. Failed Lubricating Oil Coolers are NOT eligible for coverage
under this field action. For failed Lubricating Oil Coolers, please refer to the following guidance:
1 Units that have a failed Lubricating Oil Cooler, AND have remaining Base or Extended Coverage options, ARE
NOT eligible for coverage under this ATC. Repairs should fall to the coverage option that most benefits the
owner for any needed repairs.
2 For units that have a failed Lubricating Oil Cooler, and DO NOT have any remaining Cummins Coverage, can
file for coverage under the Customer Support Plan #114-91.
ACTION:
In order to qualify for repair under this field action, an engine:
1 will be covered Regardless of coverage status, and
2 must show as OPEN on QuickServe® Online for this field action, and
3 must fall within the parameters outlined above.
NOTE: The ESN list is attached for reference.
After verifying that the engine meets the above requirements, perform the following actions:
1 Remove and Install Lubricating Oil Cooler. For ISL G CM2180 refer to Procedure 007-003 in Service Manual
4021649. Please refer to Service Manual 5467492 for L9N CM2380 L124B engines.
MATERIAL DISPOSITION:
Where applicable, items removed should be returned to ReCon for core credit. Unless otherwise indicated, items with
no core liability can be scrapped.
