A whining sound noticeable during electric drive is to be considered as normal.
Use the attached files (TJ 36106 Sound sample ERAD 1,2 and 3) to judge a normal ERAD sound.
To be able to receive the correct sound profile when listening, headphones are recommended.
Listen to the attached sound files as a reference. This is considered to be a normal electrical motor
sound.
*The soundfiles (TJ 36106 Sound sample ERAD 1,2 and 3) are recorded from the front seat at head
position.
In case of difficulties in assessment of OK sound level a vehicle report is to be submitted.
Record the sound from the front seat at head position with a mobile device also showing the dashboard
in which speed and drive mode you are driving.
