Certain Ghibli, Levante, and Quattroporte MY21-MY22 vehicles listed in ModisCS+ are involved in a Service
Campaign concerning four targeted checks to be performed on all cars not yet delivered to the final Customer.
The Customer is important for us, even more so now. Our product range is enriched with each MY of new cuttingedge content and new models are on the horizon. If Maserati's past is glorious, the near future is fascinating. This
Service action goes in the direction of offering our total devotion to the Customer. Four potentially critical areas of
the vehicle have been identified and, although the possibility of running into a product problem is completely
irrelevant, we want to make sure that no Customer can perceive any defect.
We are ambitious and we aim for perfection.
We ask you to perform the checks indicated in the technical bulletin and, in case of non-compliance, to rework
the vehicle according to the operating cycles.
Please read and review this bulletin first before starting the procedure.

A) M161 – Check the fastening of the side ventilation outlets
1.

Handle the side air vents and make sure they do not release. It is not necessary to apply excessive force. (If in
doubt, also use other cars from the fleet as a comparative sample)

2.

If the outlet detaches, proceed with the replacement.

Check the correct assembly/fastening of the cover of the B-pillar

In case the fixing is not compliant, restore the correct assembly.

1.

All Sedan cars have a mechanical system for unlocking the trunk in the event of a completely discharged
battery. The cars in PDI also have an additional red cord (to be removed before delivery to the end customer)
to allow the trunk to be released in a disconnected battery condition.

Check that the Bowden system of the mechanical release is not pulled and is positioned correctly.

Perform 2 cycles and door openings. Reposition the release system in the design position.

D) M15x – M161 – Seats greasing
NOTE: This action applies to either M15x (Sedans) or M161 Levante. Please use the VIN list to verify.
1.

Using the control lever (1), move the seat forwards and backward to check for any abnormal noises. Whatever
the response, greasing must be performed.

Move the seat as far forward as possible and lubricate both seat rails.

3.

Any synthetic grease can be used and available at local Retailers (See Example on page 7). Attached is the
technical data sheet of a grease suitable for the purpose by way of example only. Other products can be
used according to local availability.

Move the seat as far back as possible and lubricate both seat rails.

Move the seat as far forwards and back as possible 3 times to distribute the lubricant.

6.

Once the planned Reworks have been performed, the procedure is complete.
