REPLACEMENT OF FIREFLY TANK SENSOR INSTRUCTIONS
Preparation for replacement:
1. Prepare the 12 inch SeeLevel Sensors to be installed on
the black and grey tanks.
A. Grey Tank Sensor - cut the top of the GRY tab
for the grey tank. (Figure 1)
B. Black Tank Sensor - cut the top of the BLK tab
for the black tank. (Figure 2)
i. NOTE: The wire in the tab being cut
must be broken.

2. Prep both of the 12 inch black and grey tank sensors by
cutting 3 inches from the bottom of the sender to overall

length of 9 inches. This cut must be completed at the
bottom and between the pads. (Figure 3)

3. On the passenger side of the unit, locate the electrical distribution
panel. (Figure 4)
A. Disconnect the network cable from the tank sensor module.
Opposite end can be removed from G12 and Red wire
removed from double wago with Purple wire. Discard the
network cable.
B. Remove plug from the tank sensor module.
C. Remove the tank sensor module and discard. The plug
removed should be covered with electrical tape for future
protections and will not be re-installed. (Figure 4)

4. On the passenger side of unit, remove access cover to access the
Black, Grey and Freshwater tanks.

5. Using 5/16 socket, remove fastener and tank strap to
access the interior sides of the grey and black tanks.
(Figure 7)

6. Prep all three tanks – black, grey, and freshwater – for sensor installation. Clean the area well (ex. rubbing
alcohol) so that there is no dust, grease, oil, water, etc., this step should prevent the adhesive on the sender
from sticking.
7. Install SeeLevel Sensor to the side of the freshwater tank. (Figure 8)

8. Install the 9 inch black tank sensor on the black tank (Figure 9)
A. NOTE: The sensor cannot touch and must be mounted 1/2 inch away from metal.
B. NOTE: Wiring must be routed and secured to the right side of the sensor. An error will occur if routed
and secured to the left.

9. Install the 9 inch grey tank sensor on the grey tank. (Figure 10)
A. NOTE: The sensor cannot touch and must be mounted 1/2 inch away from metal.
B. NOTE: Wiring must be routed and secured to the right side of the sensor. An error will occur if routed
and secured to the left.

11. Locate the harness and tape the connector with the blue tape (Fig. 12) to something flexible and can reach
to the opposite side of the coach. (Fig. 13 shown with a Pex Waterline).

10. Connect Sensor Harness to the three installed sensors. (Figure 11)
A. Plug with Black tape to Black Tank Sensor.
B. Plug with Grey tape to Grey Tank Sensor.
C. Plug with White tape to Freshwater Tank Sensor.

11. Routing the Sensor Harness Plug with Blue tape:
A. Locate hole for the Vacuum system on the
forward side of the freshwater tank.
B. Tape connector to the flexible guide.
C. Route the guide and wire up towards the
floor. (Figure 12)
D. In the compartment forward, retrieve the
guide and plug. (Figure 13)

12. Route the Plug into the distribution panel. (Figure 14)
13. Retrofit Monitor Harness connections (Figure 15)
A. Sensor Harness Plug with Blue tape to Retrofit Harness.
B. Network Cable (Orange) to G12 where network cable was
removed in step 1.
C. Connector (Blue & White) to SeeLevel Tank Monitor.
D. Connector (Red, Black & Blue) to SeeLevel Tank Monitor.
14. Mount SeeLevel Tank Monitor next to Firefly Panel. (Figure 16)
15. Complete Firefly update:
A. Firefly Update:
 Anthem/Cornerstone updates will be completed over the
air to 1.4.15 or later.
 Aspire updates will require a jump drive dependent upon
