PROCEDURE:
Part 1 Inspection
1. Turn the main battery disconnect switch to the “OFF” position.
2. Gain access to the underside of the driver console and console light. See Figure 1.
3. Locate the driver console light wiring circuit board on the underside of the dash panel. Inspect the circuit board
for white or black heat shrink over the circuit board. See Figure 1.
4. If the light wiring circuit board has black heat shrink over the circuit board this bus has been identified as having
the correct components. Note the bus as having the correct components on your inspection report, secure the
dash panel and return to service. See Figure 1.
5. Buses identified with white heat shrink over the wiring circuit bord are to be noted on the inspection report as
defective and will need the console light assembly changed using the following steps. See Figure 1.
Note: Two ways to identify defective light wiring circuit boards are they will have white heat shrink over the
board and will be much larger that the ones with black heat shrink. See Figure 1.

Part 2 Console Light Replacement
6. For defective side console replacement disconnect the side console light wiring.
7. Remove the side console mounting screws (NF PN 15S00010BK) and washers (NF PN 50W00000BK) and set
aside for re-installation. See Figure 2.
8. Locate the new side console light item #1 and route the wiring through the side dash panel and re-install the
existing mounting screws and washers and secure in place.

Re-connect the light wiring and secure with Tyrap. (Source locally)
Remove all tools and debris and close the side console.
Turn the main battery disconnect switch to the “ON” position.
Ensure the light functions properly and return bus to service noting on the inspection report the light has been
replaced.
